Many Syskas in the US descended from my 2nd great grandparents: Johnann Adolph Szyzska and Anna Carolina Petroll. They came from part of Prussia, originally Poland. My great grandmothers family, Zimmermans (Sheboygan WI) and Keupers are German, while my grandmothers family, Scofields and Sellecks descended from early English colonists.
